A Brit fraudster who conned pensioners has finally been put behind bars.
Jody Pearson, also known as Jody Smart, has now been sent to the slammer abroad after losing both her appeals.
The 50-year-old has begun her three-and-a-half-year prison sentence after a Spanish court found her guilty of fraud.

The court order revealed that Pearson is now in Alicante’s Cumplimiento prison, as reported by the Olive Press.
The order also detailed how the Brit had handed herself in voluntarily.
Pearson is the former boss of the disgraced Continental Wealth Management company.

The business abruptly closed in 2017, leaving over 900 expats unable to access their retirement funds and investment bonds.
In Apr 2025, Pearson was finally convicted by the Alicante court for deliberately swindling expats Sally Anne Hodgson and Tim Benjamin out of money.
The pair both handed CWM money for a Costa Blanca property which never actually existed, as reported by Need To Know.
It is estimated the collapse of the business lost clients of Pearson and her partner Darren Kirby around £29million (€35million).

The Brit was convicted after a trio of pensioners complained.
Sally Anne Hodgson lent CWM £59,000 (€70,000) and was never repaid; Tim Benjamin gave CWM money for a property which allegedly did not exist and Mark Davison lost £679,000 (€800,000).
Davison sadly died before he was able to see Pearson behind bars.
Pearson has been ordered to pay £316,000 (€373,000) in compensation to Hodgson and Benjamin.
The Brit appealed her conviction to the Valencia High Court and then Spain’s Supreme Court – with both attempts failing.
