A tourist has been filmed breaking down on a popular Cornwall beach late at night, proving silly season is not over just yet.
The incident happened at around 11pm on Sunday evening at Towan Beach in Newquay.
Footage shows the driver and passengers on the sand as the bizarre late-night incident unfolds, attempting to free their Mercedes from the sand, as reported by Need To Know.

Locals discussing the incident say that the car was freed by the next morning, as there was no sign of a stricken motor.
The video was shared online, with the antics described as another sign that the summer tourist season still has some life left in it.
Towan Beach is in the heart of Newquay and is one of the town’s most central beaches.
The footage was filmed at around 11pm, when the beach would ordinarily have been well past the day’s main tourist activity.
The video has over 1,400 likes and 344 comments from locals discussing the incident.
One person said: “This is lovely to know even in October we can still enjoy the stupidity of driving onto the beach.”
