They were walking across the rocks near the top of the waterfall when Kewry slipped near the edge.
Kayk tried to grab her, but lost his balance and fell over the side with her.

The couple plunged around 279ft (85m), crashing onto rocks below and suffering fatal injuries.
Emergency services were called at around 3.45pm, but both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their bodies were found in a difficult-to-reach area at the bottom of the waterfall, with Kewry reportedly submerged in the water and Kayk lying among the rocks.
The steep terrain made the recovery operation challenging, with firefighters having to assess the site and establish a safe route to reach them.

A Civil Police forensic team also attended the scene as the bodies were recovered.
The couple had an 11-month-old daughter, making the tragedy all the more devastating for their family.
Kayk, known by the nickname KLO, was due to be laid to rest at 4pm on Tuesday (13 Oct).
Kewry’s wake was scheduled for Tuesday evening, with her burial planned for 10am on Wednesday (14 Oct).

The couple lived in the nearby city of Ipatinga.
