An influencer has been arrested after allegedly inciting violence during protests in France.
Manon Delcourt is said to have publicly announced she was joining the high school student protests, which have broken out into widespread civil unrest across the country.
In a social media video shared on Sunday (25 Oct), Delcourt said she had been taken into custody after arriving at Orly Airport in Paris’ southern suburbs.

She said: “I spent 26 hours in police custody before being brought before the Paris court, where I also spent a night before meeting with the prosecutor and the judge.
“Some of my content caught the attention of the authorities, so I experienced the most sordid 48 hours of my life.”

Authorities have not specified which posts they are investigating, but said the case is related to “several posts in September and October 2026.”
The charges include “inciting the commission of a crime or offence and threatening death or dangerous damage to property against persons holding public authority”.
In one video posted on October 2, she said: “It’s very funny to see people daring to complain about the student blockades in France right now, as if resorting to violence wasn’t the only way to get heard in Macron’s France under the yoke of our king Emmanuel.”
Later, she added: “What’s even funnier is that these are, I hope, only the beginnings of a France potentially engulfed in fire and blood.”

Delcourt, who has 190,000 followers on TikTok, is said to have posted frequently about the ongoing unrest in France, which began with high school protests in September.
Students, teachers and parents initially took to the streets to demand better conditions in the country’s education system, including more staff and improved resources.
The demonstrations spread nationwide, with grievances broadening to include wider economic and political issues, with some protests descending into riots.
Following her arrest, she was issued a court summons for a hearing in May next year, with the court ordering her to stop demonstrating on social media.
Her lawyers have branded the arrest “disproportionate”.
