A football influencer has died just weeks after getting married and announcing he was expecting his first child.
André Luiz Berbett Pinheiro Lopes, 33, known to fans as Dedeco, passed away on Wednesday (28 Oct).
His death was announced by his pregnant wife Fernanda Leite in an emotional social media post, in which she described her husband as her “great love” and thanked followers for their support.

She wrote: “It is with great sadness and a deeply broken heart that I announce the death of my beloved husband, André.
“At this very difficult time, I am trying to find the strength to deal with this enormous pain.”

She also asked people to respect the family’s privacy as they came to terms with the loss and prepared to say goodbye.
The couple celebrated their wedding in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in September after being together for almost three years.
They had shared another major milestone on 9 October, when they announced they were expecting their first child together.
The pair revealed the pregnancy with a photograph of themselves holding a baby outfit in the colours of their beloved football team Flamengo.

Dedeco wrote at the time: “God has blessed us with the greatest gift of our lives.
“A new love is coming to complete our family!”
Fernanda later paid tribute to her husband, promising their unborn child would grow up knowing how much their father loved and dreamed of them.
She wrote: “Your child will know how much you were loved and how much you loved and dreamed of them.”

Dedeco had built a following of over one million YouTube subscribers through videos about virtual football games, including PES, eFootball and EA Sports FC.
He began posting content in 2015 and his channel went on to accumulate more than 313 million views.
A passionate Flamengo supporter, he worked with the Brazilian club in 2020 creating content around football video games.
He also became a familiar voice in esports broadcasts for Brazil’s eSeleção esports teams, as reported by Need To Know.

The CBF paid tribute to Dedeco, confirming he had commentated at the 2025 FIFAe World Cup, where Brazil finished runners-up in eFootball Mobile.
His most recent work with the organisation came at the FIFAe Continental Championship in August, where Brazil won titles in eFootball Mobile, eFootball Console and Rocket League.
The organisation praised his contribution to its esports coverage and sent condolences to his family and friends.
The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
