This is the terrifying moment a drunk driver raced across a pavement at high speed – killing one person and leaving four more injured.
Shocking footage shows the moment the driver loses control of the black Dodge Challenger as it mounts the curb and smashes through an area outside a grocery shop.
Tables outside the store are completely obliterated as the driver – who was reportedly intoxicated at the time – careens across the pavement, knocking people down as he goes.

It’s understood the impact also ruptured a gas pipe outside the shop, but thankfully firefighters were able to control the scene and avoid an explosion, reports say.
On arrival at the scene, paramedics reportedly found five individuals in need of urgent medical attention.
Two women, aged 42 and 56, were treated for a number of bruises, while a 27-year-old woman had suffered an open skull fracture in the devastating crash on Friday (October 30).
A 29-year-old man was also treated for an injury to his back.
Another woman, said to be around 50 years old, was found without vital signs and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 25-year-old driver is understood to have remained close to the site of the crash in Coyoacán, near Mexico City.
According to local reports, he was speeding and drunk at the time, though this is yet to be confirmed through official channels.
He was taken into custody, where prosecutors are determining his charges.
