A YouTuber who sparked international outrage after filming himself skinning, cooking and eating a stray dog has been jailed for eight months.
Moroccan content creator Ayoub Benesnes, also known online as Ben Nsns, was sentenced by a court in Temara after the video triggered widespread condemnation from animal welfare groups and social media users.
The court also ordered him to pay a fine of 20,000 Moroccan dirhams (around £1,600).

The controversial influencer was arrested last month after uploading footage showing himself killing, skinning, roasting and eating what he claimed was a stray dog during Eid al-Adha, as reported by Need To Know.
Benesnes, who has over 2.2m followers, insisted the stunt was intended as a protest against soaring livestock prices, arguing that if meat had become unaffordable, people should be willing to eat any animal.
The footage quickly went viral, prompting fury online and leading to calls for his arrest from animal rights organisations and members of the public.
Prosecutors charged him with killing and mutilating an animal without necessity, insulting Islam, threatening to commit crimes, and distributing content deemed harmful through electronic platforms, according to local reports.
Animal welfare campaigners welcomed the verdict, describing it as an important step in tackling cruelty cases that gain traction on social media.
The case attracted international attention after clips of the video spread across multiple platforms, with many viewers expressing horror at the graphic footage.
