A business influencer has died days after publicly accusing her ex of abuse and sharing raw messages of despair.
Marie Claire González, who had 161,000 followers on Instagram, passed away on Sunday, 12 July.
The 39-year-old, who built a large online following as a motivational speaker and advocate for women’s leadership and mental health, described years of alleged emotional torment by her then partner.
She posted a photo of a bruised eye and warned others about the “blows that aren’t seen”.
In a lengthy open letter, Marie accused her former partner Ismael Borja of dismissing her past trauma, including depression and childhood sexual abuse.
She also said that he broke her with words, indifference and mood swings.

Marie wrote: “You broke me! You turned me off! You taught me not to trust again.”
She added that he took away her desire to live and robbed her children of their mother.
Marie, who came from Panama City, Panama, said she gave him love and financial support despite his mood swings.
The mother of two urged victims to reject gaslighting phrases like “you’re crazy”, and seek help rather than stay silent.
In her final scheduled posts that appeared after her death, she begged for forgiveness from her family.
“Don’t call me strong. Don’t admire me. Don’t call me a survivor, because I failed them. I failed my children. Forgive me,” she wrote.

The posts featured family photos and career highlights alongside her raw pain.
No official cause of death has been confirmed by authorities.
Reports point to possible suicide linked to severe depression, but the investigation remains open.
Marie founded Executive Lab and served as CEO of Xplor Digital Experience.
She inspired thousands with advice on business, branding, motherhood and mental health.
