A champion boxer has returned home to the UK with her family after suffering a bleed on the brain during sparring.
Former world title challenger Raven Chapman collapsed following a training session in Denmark and was airlifted to a local hospital, where she was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral edema.
She underwent two successful brain surgeries after being placed in a medically induced coma and has now touched down on British soil as she continues her recovery.

A fundraising page set up to help with her repatriation raised more than £97,000.
Her relieved family revealed the good news on Tuesday, as reported by Need To Know
They said: “Raven is back in the UK.
“We wanted to share a little update with everyone who has been following Raven’s journey and supporting her along the way.

“After everything she has been through, having her home and back surrounded by family feels incredibly special.
“There is still a road ahead, and we’re taking things one day at a time, but Raven continues to amaze us with her strength, positivity and determination.
“We honestly cannot thank everyone enough for the love you’ve shown her.
“Every donation, share, message and kind word has meant more to Raven and our family than we could ever properly put into words.

“Thank you for being part of Team Raven.
“Poppy, mum and family.”
Earlier, the family had revealed how Raven became poorly.
They said: “Raven collapsed unexpectedly after a sparring session in Denmark.
“Emergency services were called immediately, and she was airlifted to an overseas hospital.

“She was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral edema.
“Raven underwent emergency surgery right away.
“The procedure successfully stemmed the bleeding and helped stabilise the swelling.
“She was kept in a medically induced coma that she has now in the past day been taken of the sedatives and is currently still receiving treatment whilst awaiting medical supervised repatriation to a hospital in the UK where she her rehabilitation is expected to take some time.”
The fundraising page was set up by Rowena Banerjea, a friend of Raven, and her family.
The donated funds will be spent on Raven’s repatriation to the UK and ongoing rehabilitation.
The funds will be managed by Raven’s mum, Eleanor Wood, who organised her medical repatriation to a UK hospital.
