A woman who made $3m (£2.2m) from Onlyfans and dodged tax for four years has pleaded guilty to tax evasion.

Seathra Zmeena Orr admitted the offence after allegedly failing to pay taxes or file tax returns for four years.

The 39-year-old made her fortune by posting raunchy content online, with her mass earnings coming from OnlyFans.

The creator, who boasts over 4.2m followers on Instagram, earned more than $3m (£2.2m) on the platform between 2019 and 2022, as reported by Need To Know.

During this time, the platform issued Orr with tax forms reporting non-employee compensation.

This included $164,669.96 (£122,299.56) in 2019, $801,395 (£595,192.06) in 2020, $1,339,900 (£995,137.03) in 2021 and $822,400 (£610,792.37) in 2022.

However, court documents and statements made in court revealed that the creator from Stamford, Connecticut, US failed to pay any taxes or file returns for those years.

Prosecutors said she attempted to evade her tax obligations by using multiple business names and obtaining 12 Employee Identification Numbers for those businesses.

She also allegedly opened 11 business bank accounts and eight personal accounts before moving money between them without a legitimate business purpose.

Orr also used cashier’s checks and business bank accounts to make at least $1.3million (£950,000) in personal expenditures.

Those purchases included paying rent for her apartment, buying luxury vehicles and spending more than $110,000 (£82,000) on jewellery.

On 15 Sep Orr waived her right to be indicted and pleaded guilty before US District Judge Omar A. Williams in Hartford.

The government has calculated that Orr owes more than $1.1million (£810,000) in restitution to the IRS.

Orr has agreed to pay at least $476,970 (£350,000) in restitution, with a final amount to be determined by the court.

Tax evasion carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.

She has been released on a $100,000 (£74,000) bond pending sentencing, which has not yet been scheduled.

The case was investigated by the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division.

It is being prosecuted by Assistant US Attorney Michael S. McGarry.

David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, said: “Many content creators are earning significant income through a variety of online platforms, but it is without question that we all still have a legal obligation to pay required taxes.

“This prosecution should serve as a warning that no matter how or where you earn your money, you are not absolved from paying taxes on it.

“Any attempt to intentionally hide earnings and evade the payment of taxes will lead to serious criminal consequences.”

Thomas Demeo, Special Agent in Charge of IRS Criminal Investigation in New England, said: “Today’s guilty plea should send a strong message to all content creators, pay your fair share of taxes or we will find you and ensure that you are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

“Advances in technology have allowed anyone the opportunity to become an overnight sensation and potential millionaire, but all content creators must remember that all income is taxable income.

“Paying taxes is the responsibility of every American, no matter what they choose to do for work.”
