A furious driver has been ordered to pay more than £2,200 after throwing a parking ticket at an enforcement officer.
Stephen Lang was caught on camera confronting the uniformed warden who had issued him with a ticket.
Footage showed him gesticulating and stomping towards the officer before ripping the notice from his car and throwing it at her.

He then marched off, leaving the bemused-looking warden behind.
The incident happened at Exchequer Quay car park in Penryn, Cornwall, in November, 2025.
Lang, of St Martins Crescent, Camborne, had been issued with a Penalty Charge Notice by a Cornwall Council civil enforcement officer after his vehicle was found parked outside a marked bay.
The 58-year-old approached the woman officer to challenge the notice before removing it from his vehicle and throwing it onto the ground, as reported by Need To Know.
The officer picked it up and placed it back beneath the car’s windscreen wiper.
But Lang removed it again, screwed it up and hurled it in the officer’s direction.
The confrontation was captured by CCTV covering the car park.
Lang was subsequently issued with a £250 Fixed Penalty Notice for littering but failed to pay it despite receiving a reminder and a warning that the matter could be referred for prosecution.
Truro Magistrates’ Court heard the case on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
Lang did not attend the hearing and was found guilty in his absence.
He was ordered to pay a £250 fine, £1,920.90 in costs and a £100 victim surcharge – a total of £2,270.90.
The littering offence was separate from the original parking Penalty Charge Notice.
Cllr Thalia Marrington, Cornwall’s cabinet member for community safety and public health, said: “It is both unacceptable to litter as it is to be aggressive to an officer doing her job.
“We will not tolerate any abuse towards our officers.”
