A young mum was shocked to find rats romping in her children’s pool.
Three rodents are seen frolicking among a collection of kid’s toys in the water.
Two then appear to be mating while the other is on its own.
Juliane Leite – who lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – zooms in on the amorous rats as they get jiggy in the water.
She joked “Look what appeared in my children’s pool.”
One local said: “The rats are procreating.”
Another added: “I’m suffering in the heat like the rats, but I can’t help but feel sorry for them. They’re feeling hot too.”
A third said: “I would be shocked, but I wouldn’t have the courage to harm them.”
Rosana commented: “For me this is like a horror film, I’m terrified of rats.”
Roberta said: “I watched the video in fear, but at the same time, I found the rat on top of the toy funny.”
Juliane said she threw the pool toys away out of fear of contamination as rats can transmit diseases.
The mother added that she eventually removed the rats alive from the pool with the help of her husband on 20 November.
