A man has been accused of murdering his wife after he was unsatisfied with her reaction to a romantic date.
Taylor Meyer is thought to have beaten his wife, Deborah, with a wine bottle before stabbing her, according to police.
The 34-year-old became angry after planning a Paris-themed evening for his wife.
At the time, their three children were sleeping upstairs at their home in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Meyer had planned a romantic celebration for his wife in honour of Valentine’s Day, which included buying her a dress and dinner.
He also allegedly had the couples’ children draw pictures of the Eiffel Tower, according to reports from WAVE.
Meyer is thought to have confessed to killing Deborah, aged 36, in an interview with police, as per the reported affidavit.
He also said that he believed Deborah was having an affair with a co-worker, and that he had seen a photo of her holding hands with another man.

The affidavit mentions that Meyer told police that he believed his wife was unappreciative of his efforts on the night of 14 February, and that she seemed distant.
Meyer is said to have admitted to beating his wife with a wine bottle before repeatedly stabbing her with a kitchen knife.
He then texted a family group chat telling them that Deborah was dead, the reported affidavit suggested.
WAVE reported that when he was arrested, officers found the couple’s three children in the house.
Meyer has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge and will be held in jail leading up to his trial date in July, as reported by Need To Know.
