She took little Evelyn to daycare, but was called to pick her up later that day after she developed a fever.
Amanda medicated her daughter at home, but she didn’t improve the following day.

She took her to the Pedro Leopoldo Municipal Hospital near Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Sadly, she died on Saturday (3 May), as reported by Need To Know.
The City Council is investigating Evelyn’s tragic death.
They confirmed that she had initially been admitted with bronchiolitis.
They also stated that the patient received all necessary medical assistance.

They said: “However, the progression of the condition was rapid and severe.
“Consistent with cases of severe bronchiolitis and acute respiratory infection in children under two years of age, progressing to pneumonia.
“Every effort was made to immediately transfer the patient to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.”

But they said there was a shortage of beds.
The investigation is ongoing.
