A dad with a “heart of gold” is fighting for his life after allegedly being kidnapped and stabbed 25 times following a music festival abroad.

According to officers, Frank had suffered eight wounds to his right thigh, six to his left thigh, three to his right arm and eight to his abdomen.

He had travelled from Sydney, Australia, to Medellín, Colombia, to attend the Electric Daisy Carnival, as reported by Need To Know.
Frank’s family claim he was forced into the back of a car after leaving the festival and attacked by people trying to obtain money from him.

They allege he was later thrown from the moving vehicle and abandoned in the street.
A witness reportedly told investigators that Frank appeared to have been dumped from a car, but the account remains under investigation and has not been officially confirmed.
Police are examining public and private CCTV footage in an attempt to identify the vehicle, trace Frank’s movements and establish who was responsible.

No arrests had been announced and the motive remains unknown at the time of writing.
Loved ones described Frank as a devoted father and husband whose “smile and beautiful soul light up every room he enters”.
They said: “Frank Stephen Ramirez is a man with a heart of gold.
“He is a devoted father to his son, a loving and dedicated husband to his wife, and a cherished friend to all who know him.

“Frank is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, a man who worked hard to build a beautiful life for his family in Sydney, NSW.”
The family said the trip had been intended as a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with music and celebration.
Funds will be used to pay for last-minute flights and accommodation for his wife, alongside treatment, possible surgery and ongoing rehabilitation.
The appeal will also support the family while Frank remains unable to work.
The alleged attack happened after Frank attended the first Colombian edition of Electric Daisy Carnival at Medellín’s Atanasio Girardot Sports Complex.
