An MMA fighter has been rushed to the hospital after contracting a severe infection.

In a video, the 24-year-old can be seen with a puffy face, swollen eye and a huge dent in his forehead.

He even puts his finger into the hole to show how deep it is.

“The staph infection was caused by wrestling with a small abrasion to the forehead, which then got infected,” Zach told Need To Know.

“And the pain at the start was horrible.

“I would have rather been elbowed in the head than have that pain again.

“I’ve been through 14 IV bags of antibiotics and am starting to feel better.”

According to the NHS, staph infections are caused by a bacteria called Staphylococcus.

They most often affect the skin and can go away on their own, but sometimes need to be treated in a hospital.

Zac is an MMA fighter known for his aggressive fighting style and quick finishes.

His latest video from his hospital bed gained 2.4 million views.

To make light of the situation, Zach captioned the post: “It’s not that deep.”
