A man has been arrested for the same bizarre crime less than a month after his last alleged offence – for smelling a woman’s buttocks.
Dubbed the ‘butt-sniffing bandit’ online, Calese Carron Crowder was arrested after being allegedly caught sniffing a woman at a Walgreens pharmacy last week (20 August).
Staff called the police after the reported offence, and the 38-year-old was arrested several hours later.

The incident took place at a pharmacy in Burbank, California, and follows Crowder’s previous arrest for the same crime on 22 July.
At the time, he had been reported to officials for “loitering in the women’s department’ at a Nordstrom Rack in Burbank.
When officers arrived, he had left the shop but was later spotted in a Walmart supermarket, as reported by Need To Know.

A spokesperson for the Burbank Police Department said: “Using the store’s surveillance system, officers monitored the suspect as he moved through various departments.
“While in the women’s section, the suspect was observed following a female customer, crouching near her, and engaging in lewd behaviour by inappropriately sniffing her buttocks.”
Crowder was charged with one count of loitering with intent to commit a crime for the July incident.
Authorities said Crowder is a registered sex offender with a “documented history of similar arrests for lewd conduct in both Glendale and Burbank, dating back to 2021”.
