A hero guide dog saved its blind owner from being hit by a bus as they tried to cross a zebra crossing.
Shocking footage shows the visually impaired man just inches from disaster after a Stagecoach bus failed to stop as it approached the crossing.
The clip, which was shot from a car following the single-decker bus, captured the terrifying moment.

It showed the vehicle braking as it motored downhill towards a zebra crossing with a man in dark clothing already halfway across.
The blind man, wearing bright yellow clothing, then set off as the bus approached.
But instead of stopping to let him cross, the driver just carried on, narrowly missing the dog and the man.
It happened in Torquay, Devon, on Friday, (17 Oct).
“The bus driver not only didn’t stop at a zebra crossing where pedestrians have right of way, but the blind man was trying to cross, and he continued to drive through and almost hit the dog and the gentleman,” eyewitness Nicole Thrussell told Need To Know.
“If it wasn’t for the fact that a car honked its horn, I don’t think the dog or man would have stopped.”
Locals were just as stunned.
One said: “What sort of drivers do you have working for you Stagecoach?

“I think everyone expects you to be Investigating this serious incident and bring the driver to task.”
Another person said: “Poor man, lucky his dog stopped in time.”
And another added: “The bus driver should see the guide dog clear.
“He or she ought to stop straight away to let the blind person and guide cross the road.”
And someone else added: “Gosh that bus driver going far too fast.”

Stagecoach, Torbay Council and Devon and Cornwall Police have been approached for comment.
