A criminal has been widely mocked online after his ‘jug-eared’ mugshot was released by the police.

The suspect, named as Josué Alexis Urquia, is accused of using 18 different identities to commit crimes in six provinces across the country since 2017.

The 32-year-old was caught by the cops on 1 January after allegedly assaulting a worker at a furniture store.

On 30 December, the suspect entered the store in Rosario, Argentina, and reportedly tried to sexually assault the female employee, named as Luz Plawuskyj, and steal her phone.

He allegedly grabbed the victim by her hair and repeatedly hit her in various parts of her body to get her phone.

According to reports, he threw her on a sofa, dragged her onto the floor, kicked and punched her, and also bit a finger on her right hand, causing it to fracture.

He then fled the scene, but was identified by the shop’s CCTV images.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to her broken finger and other injuries.

Josué was arrested by the police in his home city of Córdoba, as reported by Need To Know.

After images of the suspect were posted online, locals mocked his appearance.

Some even compared Josué to Argentine World Cup winner Ángel Di María.

“Poor Di Maria, and after enjoying such a good career in Europe,” joked Ricky.

Ivi added: “That jug-eared guy is a total danger, what a cynical face!”

“With ears like that, if they can’t find him, it’s because they don’t want to,” added Sebas.

The authorities said Josué is suspected of committing crimes in six different provinces in the last eight years.

His fingerprints have been linked to 18 different identities.

According to the police, he travels long distances on buses without carrying an ID card.

He then allegedly stole money and belongings from passengers who fell asleep during the trip.

In some cases, he was arrested upon disembarking the bus.

As he didn’t carry ID, the police arrested him under the name he gave them at the time.

Josué has undergone a psychiatric evaluation and was found fit to stand trial for his alleged crimes.

The investigation continues.
