Recently released CCTV footage has revealed a horror tram crash that left four people seriously injured and a property devastated.
The dramatic clip shows a taxi pulling away in the nick of time as the tram hurtles past, failing to stop at a station.
Sparks rain down from the overhead line as the runaway tram – carrying passengers – derails at a tight bend.

Thundering down the road, it teeters, with a pedestrian sprinting clear by just seconds.
Moments later, the tram slams into a food joint, smashing into it with a violent jolt then finally grinding to a halt.
The tram was left badly mangled, while the eatery was all but destroyed, as reported by Need To Know.
Police duty officer Morten Gunneng said: “The speed was so high that the tram not only derailed, it continued straight ahead on the asphalt, up a good bit on the sidewalk on the opposite side.”
The tram driver, a man in his 60s, said he remembered nothing of the crash.
“When I approached the Vasaplatsen stop, I began to feel dizzy or something similar,” he said, after the collision.
“I fainted immediately, and after that I remember nothing except medical staff pressing on my chest and keeping me awake. They didn’t want me to fall asleep.”
The accident happened in central Gothenburg, Sweden, in the early hours of 20 June last year.
According to Gothenburg Tramway’s investigation, the crash was caused by a sudden medical episode.
The Swedish Accident Investigation Authority said: “The accident caused extensive damage to both the tram and the restaurant.
“A total of eight people were injured, four of whom sustained serious injuries.”
The authority’s final report has yet to be published.
