A British seaside tourist hotspot that is loved by celebrities has been left entirely flooded after the intense bout of weather.
The quaint town of Mawgan Porth, Cornwall, has earned the nickname “Hollywood-on-the-sea”.
It’s loved by stars including the Beckhams, Noel Gallagher and Jason Statham.

Over the weekend, as Storm Ingrid took hold, it left the area in a state of disarray.
A combination of heavy rain and an unusually high tide led to the banks of the river giving way.
And so, the town was completely flooded.

Tom Hurley, 46, had his commute to work in a construction company disrupted as a result.
“It (the flooding) was all over the road and all around the village shops,” he told Need To Know.
“High tide was at 8:30 so it probably didn’t help, as the river had nowhere to go if the tide was high.”
He shared pictures of the town, with people flocking to the comments to share their reactions.
One person said: “Oh no, this is awful..poor people and businesses.. Hope it’s not too much damage.”

Another user said: “I remember flooding like this when I was growing up there. Big tide, lots of rain, it would flood under the bridge, over the river bank into what was then the Bridgehouse Cafe, and flood the garage & petrol pumps.”
Wendy added: “That’s awful for everyone at Mawgan Porth.”
Another person said: “I mean if you build a town at sea level next to a beach and a river, it’s kinda to be expected, really ain’t it??”
“Omg this is terrible our favourite place,” added Melanie.

Mawgan Porth is located just four miles from the booming holiday destination of Newquay.
Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett recently stirred up controversy in the area after developing a property there.
It drew ire from neighbours due to its size and appearance, with many people saying it resembled a “parking lot”.
Storm Ingrid has battered the UK this weekend, with winds up to 86mph.
The flooding in Mawgan Porth occurred on 24 January.
