A mum with the same name as Sharon Osbourne is being flooded with messages of condolences from Ozzy fans.
Sharon Osbourne has been mistaken for the music manager and wife of the heavy metal legend ever since she took on the surname when she got married in 2005.
But the 47-year-old has seen a huge influx in cases of mistaken identity since the Black Sabbath frontman’s death on Tuesday (22 July).

And now her inbox is full of heartfelt messages.
Ozzy died aged 76 just weeks after reuniting with his bandmates – Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – and performing in a huge farewell concert for fans on 5 July.
“Since Ozzy passed, I’ve had people inboxing me expressing their condolences,” Sharon, from Stowmarket, Suffolk, told Need To Know.

“I reply that I’m not the Sharon Osborne, but nine times out of 10, they don’t believe me.
“I always try to be respectful when I reply.
“Some of the messages over the years have made me chuckle.
“I remember one woman arguing with me because I wasn’t agreeing with her that I was Sharon, and in the end, I had to block her.
“People have asked for parenting advice. It’s crazy.
“I always try to explain that I’m not Sharon, but it falls on deaf ears.”

One emotional fan said, “My condolences to Sharon.
“I’m a widower as well.
“One day at a time.
“We are all grieving his loss.
“Don’t worry, be happy.”
Another grieving Ozzy fanatic added: “Hi Sharon, you don’t know me.
“I’m writing to offer my thoughts at this time.

“Sorry for your loss.”
This isn’t the first time the mum-of-five has been mistaken for the 72-year-old TV personality.
Sharon says she’s used to receiving requests from aspiring music artists hoping she’ll be able to help them with their careers.
She added, “I get it all the time.
“I’ve had people in the past send me music videos hoping that I would help make them famous.
“They ask if I can manage and promote them.
“It’s crazy that they don’t realise that I’m not the real Sharon Osborne.
This has been happening since 2005 when I married on New Year’s Eve and my name became Sharon Osborne.
“People don’t believe that’s my name, and usually they have a chuckle.
“When I’m sitting in A&E, the whole waiting room usually stops and waits to see who gets up.
“It does make me smile, and I’m sure they are quite disappointed when it’s me who gets up.”
