An immigrant boat has been blocked by hundreds of protestors after it arrived on a UK shore.
The large mob rushed down to the seafront after getting word of a boat carrying 140 immigrants being brought ashore.
The demonstrators blocked a road near the port area where the lone dinghy had landed in order to stop the people who had crossed the channel leaving the city.

The protest took place near the Eastney Landing ferry port area, Portsmouth, as reported by Need To Know.
Footage taken by one demonstrator showed the large number of people clashing with police on Sunday (6 Sep) night.
The protesters were met with a wall of police armed with riot shields.
In the clip the mob can be heard chanting ‘stop the boats’ repeatedly whilst others shouted ‘we’ve had enough’.
According to reports Hampshire Police urged locals to avoid the area with a dispersal order in place – meaning people who failed to comply could risk being arrested.
The demonstration was said to prevent the authorities transporting the migrants to the Manston processing centre in Kent, as reported by the BBC.
A number of coaches containing the 140 people from the dinghy were protected by the police armed with riot gear.
Joe Robertson, Conservative MP for Isle of Wight East wrote online: “Extremely concerning to see an illegal migrant crossing this far west.
“We don’t know if this migrant boat was headed for the Isle of Wight but I’ll be contacting the Home Office first thing.
“We need to know exactly what happened and if new routes are being used for mega-dinghies by people smugglers.”
The demonstration was the second large anti-migrant protest of the weekend.
Hundreds dressed in black and wearing face coverings, blocked roads near the Port of Dover on 5 Sep.
Members of the public were left shocked by the footage.
One person said: “I can see this escalating rapidly.

“More people and more often.”
Another one added: “Finally someone is doing something.
“We have had enough.”
One person wrote: “Good on them.
“Need to end illegal migration for good.”
Another viewer said: “UK is on the brink of Civil War.
“Stop the boats.”

Another person added: “The British people have had enough.”
Jam Press have approached Hampshire Police for a comment.
