A woman claims she has dramatically transformed her skin using her own urine.
Lucy Aura says her skin was blotchy, inflamed, oily and prone to breakouts, rashes and bites before she began her urine therapy journey.
The 44-year-old drinks her own urine every day and applies any leftovers to her hair and skin.
“I loop most days which means peeing in a cup and drinking it fresh,” Lucy, who is based in Kuranda, Queensland, told Need To Know.
“What I don’t drink I aim to catch in a jar, and evolve.
“I use the evolved urine on my hair, skin, I’ve brushed my teeth and gargled with it.
“I use it in my ears, nose, eyes, and as enemas.

“When I feel called to detox I will drink the evolved urine throughout the day.
“This brings on purges and releases through whatever area of the body is needed.”
Lucy tried urine therapy for the first time in 2021, after meeting two “beautiful, healthy looking women” who explained how it worked.
She says she felt “called to give it a try” and has been doing it ever since.
The spiritual teacher and mum-of-two says her health has improved since starting her journey, and applying her urine to her skin has “transformed it”.
She added: “Basically anything wrong with my gut would present itself on my skin.

“Urine therapy has reprogrammed my gut so my food choices are different.
“It also cleanses and so kills parasites.
“It has melanin which smooths skin tone, creatine which works on muscle power, stem cells, hormone reintroduction.
“Hormones and enzymes take a lot of energy to produce by the body and so reintroducing is highly beneficial.
“These are just a few benefits on a physical level.”
According to Lucy, urine therapy clears the gut and “encourages us to listen and make better choices.”
Lucy says that some reactions to her use of urine therapy have been negative, but that it doesn’t bother her.
She said: “Many people believe me to be very strange because I practice this.
“But the more I practice it the less I care!”
