Furious footy fans dumped a pile of poo in front of the club’s training ground in protest at their shocking season.

Torino, who have won the Italian top-flight league seven times, are currently languishing just above the relegation places.

Club manager Marco Baroni was sacked on Monday (23 Feb) after the team’s fifth defeat in seven games.

Pressure mounted after their heavy 3-0 defeat away at Genoa on Sunday.

Their poor run of form also includes a 6-0 thrashing by Cesc Fabregas’ Como and an exit to Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia.

Torino currently sits in 15th place in Serie A with 27 points, just three points above the relegation zone.

The club announced the arrival of new manager Roberto D’Aversa on Tuesday, as reported by Need To Know.

The 50-year-old has until the end of the season to stabilise the team and secure their place in Serie A for next season.

But ultra fans apparently blame club owner and chairman Urbano Cairo.

They arrived at the club’s Stadio Filadelfia training ground in a pickup truck loaded with manure.

At least nine fans then shovelled the poo in front of the entrance and hung a large sign on the gate.

In an apparent slight at the chairman, the banner read: “Sh*t like Cairo.”

According to reports, supporters believe the Italian businessman is the “main culprit” for the legendary club’s woes.

Torino are a sleeping giant of Italian football having dominated the 1940s with five Serie A titles.

They last won the league in 1976, but have spent recent decades yo-yoing between Serie A and Serie B.

Torino’s current squad includes former Premier League stars such as Che Adams, Cesare Casadei, Tino Anjorin, and Nikola Vlasic.
