A millionaire bodybuilding influencer nicknamed the “Austrian Dan Bilzerian” has died mysteriously at the age of 34.
Michael “Mike” Maschina passed away “suddenly and unexpectedly” on 9 February, according to his parents.
Just three days before his death, Mike had shared a beach photo from Bali, Indonesia, where he was living.
Sitting on a jet ski and showing off his chiselled torso, he asked his 92,900 followers: “What did I miss?”
Over the years, the influencer – who owned a villa among the vineyards of Vienna – had built an online persona as a flashy, self-made millionaire.

He regularly showcased his jet-set lifestyle of VIP lounges, champagne-fuelled parties, designer clothes, and fast sports cars, including a bright green Lamborghini.
As a businessman, he launched the property app Immomatch, described by Austrian media as a “Tinder for flat seekers”.
Sources say Mike went from raking in millions to facing a massive financial collapse in 2023, including the insolvency of his company Ruma Estate.
He largely withdrew from public life, removing most of his social media photos while dealing with debts reportedly around €5m (£4.4m).
The exact circumstances of his death remain unknown, as reported by Need To Know.

His funeral took place on Tuesday (24 Feb) in Vienna, attended only by close family.
His obituary read: “Just as he longed for closeness, family, and genuine connection, we wanted to say goodbye to him in the same way – quietly, lovingly, and surrounded by the support of those closest to him.”
