A determined Lidl worker has been spotted chasing down and wrestling a suspected shoplifter after they fled the scene.
In a clip, two women can be seen grappling over a set of bags from the supermarket.
As the fight escalated, members of the public rushed to break up the squabble – with the worker retrieving the stolen items.

During the tug of war type incident, the shoplifter can be heard shouting: “Don’t f***ing touch me, are you crazy.”
The video surfaced on 28 Feb and has racked up a whopping 48,500 views online, as reported by Need To Know.
The squabble took place on Stanway Street, Hoxton, London – a stone’s throw from Lidl on Hoxton High Street.

After the pair were separated, the spooked shoplifter fled down the road.
The worker made her way back to the store while shouting at the thief and can be heard saying the phrase “tramp”.
Members of the public were left shocked by the footage.
One person said: “Times are hard when you have to shoplift from Lidl.”

Another person added: “Feral thieving scumbags.”
One other person said: “The Lidl worker is an older lady, doing more than the men who work there.”
Another person said: “Lidl is really cheap as well, ASDA shop £50 is £20 in Lidl no joke. Should’ve let her off.”
One person said: “What in the job centre and cider is this.”

Jam Press has approached Lidl and the Met Police for a comment.
