A shoplifter has been caught red-meat handed with a backpack full of stolen steaks.
One eagle-eyed security guard prevented a man from exiting a supermarket with a huge haul of snatched goods.
The thief had raided the meat aisle and attempted to leave with his backpack jam-packed with expensive cuts of meat.

The shocking clip was taken at Tesco Extra in Burnley, as reported by Need To Know.
The footage surfaced on 9 April racking up more than 488,200 views online.

In the clip you can see the security officer stopping the man on the escalator as he approached the exit.
A shopper watched in stitches as the security tugged at the bag which the thief was unwilling to let go of.
The pair grappled over the back pack before the contents spilled out onto the shopfloor.
Dozens of steaks landed on the floor with the thief making a swift exit before the staff could react.
The footage has left viewers shocked.
One person said: “I’m sure he’ll learn from this mi-steak.”
Another person added: “Standards in shoplifting seem to be getting higher now. Back in the 80s they nicked fish fingers.”
One other person said: “It was just a simple mi-steak boss.”

Another person said: “Poor bloke must have been really hungry.”
One person added: “That’s like two grand in steaks, a valuable commodity nowadays.”

Jam Press has approached Lancashire Police for a comment.
