A US influencer has been found dead in a luxury hotel after undergoing plastic surgery.
Hilde Lynn Helphenstein, better known by her alter ego Jerry Gogosian, was discovered lifeless by her plastic surgeon.
He had been trying to reach the 40-year-old American artist by phone and went to her five-star hotel after she failed to answer.

Hotel staff entered Hilde’s room and found her unresponsive in bed.
An empty vodka bottle, a broken glass on the floor, and unidentified pills were reportedly found nearby.
Hilde, who came from Oakland in California, was found dead at the luxury Rosewood São Paulo hotel in São Paulo, Brazil, on Sunday (31 May).
The surgeon told the authorities he had previously taken her to an emergency care unit after a possible overdose, noting her alleged use of substances.
She had been in São Paulo for about three weeks recovering from a cosmetic procedure, as reported by Need To Know.
The police have registered the case as a ‘suspicious death’ at the 78th District Police Station in Jardins.
Hilde, who built a following of over 150,000 Instagram fans by satirising the excesses, social norms and commercialisation of the contemporary art world, graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute.
She hosted the podcast Art Smack, served as editor-in-chief of the subscriber bulletin The Jerry Report, and collaborated with major names including Sotheby’s, Phillips, and Playboy

In her final social media posts, she celebrated being in Brazil and sharing light-hearted advice and excitement about her stay.
News of her death has prompted tributes across the art world, where her sharp commentary earned both admiration and attention.
No official cause of death has been released yet.
