Family and friends later reported her missing after she stopped responding to messages and calls.
A property manager eventually entered the apartment and made the grim discovery, as reported by Need To Know.
According to police, Sanchez’s body was found concealed inside a suitcase on 30 May.
Police have since charged her boyfriend, Damarcus David Jones with murder.

Authorities allege Jones, 28, remained at the apartment for several days after Sanchez was last seen alive.
He was arrested on 2 June and later charged with murder.
Jones reportedly told investigators he had allegedly left windows to the apartment open and an air purifier running as he knew Sanchez’s body would begin to smell.
Court documents cited by local media allege Sanchez suffered multiple injuries, including trauma to her head and neck.
Police said the investigation in Berkeley, California, remains ongoing.
Heartbroken relatives have paid tribute to Sanchez, describing her as a loving daughter, sister and friend who inspired others through her battle with cancer.
A fundraiser originally created to help cover her medical expenses has since become a memorial page following her death.

Her family said: “The world lost a bright, bright light.
“Words cannot express the magnitude of this loss.”
They described Sanchez as someone who “loved fiercely and wholeheartedly” and had a gift for making others feel valued and cared for.
According to her obituary, Sanchez was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer but continued to face life with determination and positivity.
Loved ones said she touched countless lives through her strength, kindness and resilience.
The arrest was announced by Berkeley Police after an investigation into her death.
