The accident happened in Belém, Brazil, in the early hours of Sunday (5 July).
Around 230 people were inside the venue at the time, as reported by Need To Know.
The birthday girl’s mother, Paula Negrão, fainted from shock and required medical attention after seeing guests lying injured in the aftermath of the collapse.
She told local media: “About 20 minutes passed and then the floor gave way. Many people were injured.
“One person is still in a serious condition. Her head was split completely open.”
The no-expenses-spared celebration marking Ana Beatriz’s 15th birthday – an important coming-of-age milestone for many girls in Latin America – had been two years in the making.
Paula added: “I’m not worried about what we invested.
“I’m worried about the victims and about what my daughter will carry with her for the rest of her life.

“I’m in shock.”
Police, firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene and treated the injured before several were taken to local hospitals.
The 11 casualties ranged in age from 15 to 70, with some suffering fractures and dislocations.
The venue, a historic mansion with a maximum permitted capacity of 640 people, has since been closed while structural inspections are carried out.
The family is demanding that the owners reimburse the cost of the party – almost BRL 40,000 (£5,832) – and provide support for those injured.

The venue says it is trying to contact the family and guests and is cooperating with authorities investigating the cause of the collapse.
Belém City Hall said it is assisting the victims.
The following evening (6 July), Ana Beatriz’s family and neighbours organised an impromptu celebration in the street where she lives, allowing her to finally hear everyone sing “Happy Birthday”.
