A woman has been dubbed a real life “Rapunzel” after going viral on TikTok with more than 60 million people mesmerised by clips of her incredibly long hair.

Alina Hakimova, 28, from Russia, has been growing her hair since the age of 18 and it now measures a lengthy 118cm (46 inches).

Alina, who works as a doctor, uses a variety of shampoos, hair masks, sprays, creams and oils to keep her tresses in check, and says it takes two hours to dry after she washes it.

She also uses a Tangle Teezer brush to keep her hair knot-free and silky smooth, and takes a series of vitamins to boost hair growth and health, including magnesium complex, liquid chlorophyll, collagen and vitamin D3 + K2.

“When people see me they say ‘wow, how long and beautiful’,” Alina told Jam Press.

“People ask to touch it and ask permission to take pictures.

“I get both good and bad comments [online] – there are haters trying to insult me.

“Maybe in 10-15 years I will cut my hair.”

While she does get trims – having 10cm taken off last month – her impressive locks are so long that she has built up a huge following on TikTok, where more than 1.7 million fans enjoy videos of her showing off her hair.

In one viral clip, Alina shakes her hair and grasps it with her hand to demonstrate its impressive length.

The post was viewed more than 60 million times and racked up 3.4 million likes, with viewers commenting on her locks.

One person said: “Is that the real Rapunzel?”

Another user called her hair “extraordinary” while others begged to know her secret.

“Omg Rapunzel in real life,” said someone else.

Another user commented: “Hair is so beautiful.”

In another TikTok, Alina demonstrated how she puts her hair in a ponytail, taking her time to carefully tie her hair back into position and weave it through the hairband.

One person commented: “How could someone manage that hair?”

“That’s got to be the most beautiful hair I’ve ever seen,” another user added.

Someone else said: “I didn’t know if it was Rapunzel or a horse’s tail.”

In one funny clip, Alina shows how easily her hair can fall loose even after styling it.

In the TikTok, her hair is piled artfully on top of her hair in an elegant bun.

Alina feigns a sneeze and her hair topples loose.

While she often jokes with her followers and pretends to chop off her hair, for now Alina has no plans to get rid of her famed locks.
