A social media influencer has gone viral on TikTok revealing how she became “filler blind” after becoming obsessed with dermal injections – and people say she looks 10 years younger now she’s had it dissolved.
Kayla Jenkins, 27, a social media influencer from Dorset, first started getting filler in her lips when she was 20 years old.
She wanted to get the work done after feeling she had “small lips” and quickly became hooked on the then growing trend, getting botox soon after and regularly getting injections.

Following in the footsteps of celebrities like Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague, who recently removed her fillers, Kayla is now too opting for a natural look.
She took to TikTok last month to share her story, leaving social media users stunned by the dramatic change to her face.
The clip has so far racked up 624,000 views and 16,000 likes, as well as 90 comments.
“I started with just lip filler and botox and then I ended up regularly getting filler in my chin, cheek and jaw,” Kayla told Jam Press.
“I’ve since had a non-surgical nose job and have also had my smile lines tended to, which were both done with filler.
“I used to get 1 ml in my lips, each cheek and jaw, with 0.5ml in my nose, smile lines and chin.”

On average, to have the same amount of filler as Kayla, you would be looking at forking out between £700-£1,000.
However, due to her social media presence, she was able to collaborate with businesses in exchange for the procedures.
Although this might sound ideal to many, Kayla soon realised that her face didn’t look like her own anymore.
She said: “I realised my face was deformed after I went to my now aesthetic practitioner, Sarah, at SLA medical clinic.

“She advised me that the filler used didn’t dissolve after six months like most but instead migrated around your face and could last up to six years.
“I’d always thought my face looked a bit weird, but as I was ‘filler blind’ from having so much for so long, I couldn’t tell what it was.
“Sarah dissolved the filler in my face over two sessions, so I didn’t lose much of my natural collagen.
“She lightly added filler back in to compliment my face, instead of distort it.
“I had everything dissolved – I was holding a lot of migrated filler in my lips, jaw and cheeks.
“Due to how heavy my lips were, they were also pulling my face down and therefore caused worse smile lines.
“Ironic, as I was having filler to try and remove them.”

Kayla used to get comments about her look on her YouTube channel, where fans pointed out how much filler she had, saying it “didn’t look good”.
At the time, the influencer assumed they were just “haters” but in hindsight has realised that the amount she was getting was excessive.
In the viral TikTok video, Kayla starts by lip syncing: “It’s so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that’s not possible, so I give you a one.”
As she moves out of shot, she reveals two pictures of herself with the overlapping text: “when I deformed my face with 10ml of filler”.
Social media users have reacted very strongly to the video.

“You looked like Molly-Mae when she had fillers in,” one person commented.
“Omg that was you, you look so much better now girl,” someone else added. [sic.]
Another viewer said: “You’ve aged backwards!”
“Omg I remember you the lips are gone! Hope you’re in a better place now,” one person commented, followed by a heart emoji. [sic.]
“You look 10yrs younger now,” another viewer added. [sic.]
Despite having most of her filler dissolved, Kayla still visits her aesthetic practitioner for a top up every now and again.
She added: “I get very occasional filler and botox, but because Sarah is so skilled, she knows exactly where to put it.
“I keep my natural face, but enhanced.”
