An impressive Sydney home has an amazing hidden secret – 25m of James Bond-style tunnels built underneath.
The property, in the luxurious suburb of Mosman, has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and views of the famous Opera House.
But it is the underground feature that is attracting the attention of potential buyers after it hit the market with a $10 million (£5 million) guide price.
Described as “very James Bond and high-tech” by agent Jacqui Rowland, the stone tunnel stretches almost the length of the entire plot.
Owners Robert and Wendy Procter have lived in the house for more than 40 years but four years ago, they decided to build the passageway to avoid having to walk up 63 steps from the street to their house.
The project took Lightning Ridge miners six months, with five of them staying with Robert and Wendy throughout.
Now, the tunnel – accessed through the double garage – features an underground gym and a lift bringing them to both levels of the home.
In total, the project cost them around $1 million AUD (£500,000) but the current owners love the addition.
The property is on the market with DiJones, with expressions of interest closing on 23 February.
