Story from Jam Press (Diamond Eyed Cat) Pictured: The rare Khao Manee cat owned by Tarun Kushwah. Meet the rare 'diamond-eyed' cat that has a GOLDEN eye and is worth over $10,000. A rare cat with an unusual eye condition has become a local sensation thanks to its unusual eye colouring. The feline lives with owner Tarun Kushwah in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India, where it was recently spotted strolling the streets of their local neighbourhood, where the cat is something of a celebrity. A rare breed known as Khao Manee, the feline has heterochromia, a condition that saw him born with one blue and one golden eye, earning the beautiful cat the moniker 'Diamond-eyed'. The breed, which is said to originate in Thailand, is so unusual that the cats can often sell for over $10,000 (USD). Tarun rescued the diamond-eyed pet from a temple, where dogs were hounding the poor animal, and later decided to adopt the cat. In a video shot on 4 February, the adorable feline, which is white in colouring, can at first be seen playing with a mat in the hallway. Later on in the video, it sits on someone's lap as they put a tiny blue jumper on the pet as it meows. As the video continues, the animal can be seen stroking itself against someone's leg, before later getting some pats from a boy who speaks to the camera. ENDS
