This is the terrifying moment a leopard who broke into a house breaks free from authorities – before racing down a packed street.
The incident was filmed in Pallavapuram, Meerut in Uttar Pradesh this morning (4 March).
In the video, the leopard can be seen darting down a busy street, with pedestrians jumping into cars to avoid it.
Previously, the animal can be seen tangled in a net outside the house it had broken into.
The wild cat struggles against the blue net while a crowd gathers.
Local police and the forest department had wrapped the net around the property in a bid to trap the beast – but the animal broke free after 10 minutes.
The leopard then started wreaking havoc across town, racing around the streets before hiding in nearby bushes.
It is not clear what the current whereabouts of the animal are, but local authorities are believed to be closely monitoring it.
