A boy has gone viral on Facebook after showing off an impressive afternoon tea he made for his family on a budget.
Naomi Fowles, 30, a full-time carer from Wrexham, Wales, has received an overwhelming response online after uploading a dish her 10-year-old son made.
Rhys desperately wanted to take his dad out on his birthday, but Naomi couldn’t bring herself to pay £12.50 per person on afternoon tea.
As he wanted his dad, Paul Davies, 47, to experience the special treat, he set about using his baking skills to whip up a feast.

Rhys made scones and sausage rolls from scratch for the three of them, as well as prawn, beef and ham sandwiches and placed these next to lots of other sweet snacks.
In total, Rhys spent just £1.80 per person on the delicious banquet.
As Naomi was so proud of her son’s creation, she decided to upload the masterpiece to Facebook.
In the post, which has 1,200 likes, she writes: “My 10yo son has always been attracted to afternoon tea, however I can’t bring myself to pay £12.50ish each for us to have one in a restaurant.
“Anyway, for his dad’s birthday he chose to make one for a treat and here it is…
“Rhys created the menu, shopped for the ingredients and prepared it all.
“It was beautiful and fed the three of us at a fraction of the cost.”
In the picture, scones, strawberries, cakes, sandwiches and crisps have been carefully laid out on a three-tier stand.
“Wow he has done an amazing job, who needs to go out when you can create that at home,” one person wrote.
Another person added: “That looks much nicer than most afternoon teas I’ve seen! Very well done and what a wonderful birthday treat.”
A third person commented: “Delicious definitely encourage your son to a possible career.”
“It’s my birthday in June just saying….in all seriousness that looks amazing,” another person added.

Naomi says she was “gobsmacked” by the response and had to turn her notifications off as she kept getting so many comments.
She hoped to show other people that you don’t have to spend lots of money when treating your loved ones.
From the age of two, Rhys has loved cooking and baking, where he has made cakes, pizzas and cheesecakes to hone his culinary skills.
Naomi added: “He started off with boxed cake mixes and I’d help him as he was only a toddler.
“He was a wild child, very boisterous – but when he’s in the kitchen, he seems to relax and focus.
“Rhys is self-taught after being inspired by cooking and baking shows, so if he spots something he likes, he’ll search for a recipe.
“Paul isn’t keen on eating out because of crowds and Rhys thought of this when planning the surprise.
“He knew he wouldn’t be able to relax and enjoy it if we went out for a meal.
“I was astounded by the afternoon tea as, although I knew what he had planned, I was expecting him to get distracted and leave me halfway through.
“But he didn’t and it tasted so good. My favourite were the scones.
“[For his next project] he wants to make another afternoon tea.
“He’s already bought the mini jams and is scouring charity shops for a traditional tea set.”
