Story by Jam Press (Cat Face) Pictured: Kalahari the cat. Adorable cat with 'SPLIT FACE' from rare genetic mutation captures hearts on Instagram. An incredible cat with two faces has stunned social media users with her unique look, which is thanks to a rare birth condition. The mix-up moggy named Kalahari from Seattle, US, also sees her split colourings continue down to her legs, with one the limb of a tabby ginger and the other black with a white paw. Owner Linda Liu, 30, adopted the two-year-old feline from a shelter, alongside her five-year-old mum Sahara, in July 2020. The quirky pet is officially known as a 'chimera cat', which means Kalahari has two sets of DNA because two different embryos fused together in her mother's womb. Due to the feline's long black arm and white paw on her left side, people often liken her to the Phantom of the Opera — who wears a black tuxedo and white mask. She has also been likened to Harvey Dent, a two-faced supervillain in DC Comics. "I love her markings – it is pretty crazy how perfectly down the centre Kalahari is split," Linda, a tech worker, told NeedToKnow.online. "I joke that she's a bit of a diva and a little princess. "It's like she knows how pretty she is. "She is constantly expecting to be pampered and will complain very loudly if anything is slightly not to her liking. "She is the biggest mummy's girl and is constantly cuddling with her mum." Female cats can mate and conceive children with more than one male partner at the same time, allowing them to give birth to kittens in the same litter but with different DNA. When two embryos with different DNA fuse, a chimera kitten is born instead of two separate cats with one set of DNA each. Linda added: "Kalahari is unique as she is part tuxedo on one side complete with one white glove and part orange tabby on the other. "At the same time her body is tortoiseshell-coloured. "It's almost like she is three cats in one." Linda shares snaps of the adorable

She has also been likened to Harvey Dent, a two-faced supervillain in DC Comics.
