Story from Jam Press (Sheeran Restaurant) Pictured: Ed Sheeran promoting Tingly Ted's. Ed Sheeran snubs his own new Tingly Ted’s sauce by serving up rivals at his Bertie Blossoms restaurant Ed Sheeran has snubbed his new spicy sauce brand Tingly Ted's at his own Bertie Blossoms restaurant. The chart topper announced last October he was branching out by launching his own hot condiment. The £2.50 sauce - in tribute to his childhood nickname Teddy - has been available to buy from Morrisons and Asda supermarkets since February. But the Shape of You singer, 32, is serving up rival ones at his trendy eatery in trendy Portobello Road, Notting Hill, west London. The restaurant - popular with celebs like Abbey Clancy and Rochelle Humes - holds Taco Nights on Tuesdays. But it has Cholulu Hot Sauce and Tajin spicy seasoning for customers to put on their grub. This is despite Tingly Ted’s website stating it is good for Mexican food. It reads: “As a lifelong ketchup and hot sauce obsessive, Ed Sheeran had a dream to make the ‘ketchup of hot sauces’. “A not-so-hot hot sauce to be dolloped onto everything. burgers, eggs, burritos. you name it.” It adds: “Way back yonder, Teddy was Ed’s childhood nickname. “After leaving his paw prints on a couple of Ed’s records, today, Ted has been born again as a grumpy bear, sidekick and co-creator of the first tingly sauce known to man.” Sheeran - worth an estimated £300million - loves sauces so much he even has a Heinz Ketchup tattoo. He opened Bertie Blossoms in 2019 and it was named after his wife Cherry Seaborn, as in cherry blossoms. Tingly Ted’s comes in two strengths Tingly and Xtra Tingly.
