A hungry bear has been filmed sinking its teeth into a doorbell camera.
Homeowner Brent Robinson said he was stunned to see the beast trying to make a meal out of his Ring camera when reviewing the footage afterwards.
The black bear looked directly into the video camera before sniffing it and pawing at the lens.
The animal then opened its mouth and bit into the camera twice.
The porch light came on and the bear gave up trying to eat the doorbell camera and slowly wandered off.
The hungry bear appeared to be juvenile and emaciated.
It happened outside a home in Bass Lake, located southeast of San Francisco in California, US.
Shocked Brent said that it was the first time an animal had tried to eat his doorbell camera.
