A woman has been scammed out of £146,000 by a man who pretended to be Brad Pitt.
The star-struck lady believed she met the A-lister on a fan Facebook page for the Fight Club actor.
The catfish led the middle-aged victim to fall in love with him.
He also led the woman, from Granada, Spain to believe that they would get married.
In one email, the unnamed man working with a group of fraudsters told the victim he was going to visit Spain to shoot an upcoming movie.
He even suggested that she could star in a film with him.
She spoke to the fake Brad Pitt for five months after making contact early last year.
He created fake photoshopped images of the 59-year-old actor.
Some images included false personal messages to the victim.
A group of fraudsters from Turkey are believed to be behind the scam.
According to the victims lawyer, the fraudster would ask for smaller transactions to be sent to various accounts at Spanish and European banks.
One transfer included an eye-watering £25,774 (€30,000).
In total she said she lost £146,000 (€170,000).
A few weeks ago, the woman realised her relationship with the actor was a trick and approached her lawyer.
