A savvy man who almost missed his flight booked a HELICOPTER to the airport to catch his plane to London on time.
Kevin Droniak ordered the last-minute, $195 (£155) chopper as it was cheaper than buying a new ticket.
The YouTuber had booked to jet from New York JFK to London Gatwick.
He claims he read the time wrong for his upcoming flight time.
But he only noticed this an hour before he was supposed to take off.
His upcoming flight was scheduled at 18:20 last Thursday (17 Aug).
However, Kevin says he isn’t “used to military time” and believed his flight was at 22:20 that evening.
The panicked 26-year-old didn’t want to fork out a fortune on a new flight and decided to think outside the box.
He then booked a helicopter near his flat in Manhattan.
Kevin said: “This is hilarious too because I was like ‘I’m going to be frugal and take the subway to JFK to save some money’.”
”Now I’m taking a goddamn helicopter.
”But it’s cheaper than buying a new flight.”
Miraculously, Kevin found a helicopter who could take him and he made his way to the nearby helipad.
He flew with New York Helicopter but didn’t reveal the exact price.
However, rival chopper company Blade charge $195 (£155) to fly from Manhattan to JFK in five minutes.
Kevin got an impressive view of the city as he travelled across the sky.
Luckily, Kevin made it to the airport with just 30 minutes before the gate closed at the busy airport.
He made his way through security and was able to board in time.
He shared his quick-thinking travel plan on TikTok.
One person called Michel said: “You almost missed an international flight?
”I’d be sweating, cursing, rushing.”
”The way I thought you were joking,” said Nicole.
Natalie Light said: “I like that you had time for the photo before the ride bestie.”
”The crazy thing non New Yorkers don’t get is that the helicopter is only slightly more expensive than a Uber,” joked Brandon Light.
Kevin gained popularity on Youtube after sharing videos of his glamorous grandma, Lill.
The sassy pensioner became an online celebrity for her makeup tutorials and funny videos.
The 93-year-old gave Kevin a telling off.
She said: “You’re always running late.”
