A super saver has revealed genius hacks for upcycling things like deodorants and chocolate box packaging – going viral online thanks to his sustainable tips.
Jake-Jamie, 31, is well-known on TikTok, (@jakejamie), where he has over 2.4 million followers.
The content creator, from Birmingham, frequently shares videos on upcycling, using household items that most people may not consider reusing – and social media users are obsessed with the hacks.

In a recent clip, Jake-Jamie turns an old deodorant bottle into an everyday skincare item, racking up over 1.8 million views.
“Face rollers are beauty tools that help distribute your skincare products, soothe skin, decrease puffiness and improve blood circulation in the face,” Jake-Jamie told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
“I love these beauty tools, but they can be very expensive!
“I noticed that the applicator on my deodorant bottle had a very similar rotating ball head capable of replicating the effects of these beauty tools, so I decided to have a go at making my own!
“This DIY cost me nothing to make, as I already had the empty deodorant and bottle of aloe vera in my bathroom cabinet at home.”
In the video, you can see Jake-Jamie remove the ball out of a deodorant bottle and rinse the item out.
He then grabs some aloe vera gel and transfers it into the now-clean bottle, before placing the ball back on top.
The influencer also removes the labels from the bottle and adds his own stickers to give it a personalised look.
Jake-Jamie said: “Some people will say that this is unhygienic as it was previously used for the pits.
“However, I believe if it’s washed out thoroughly, then it’s no different to the millions of pieces of plastic that get transformed into something new every single day.
“Once I had washed everything out, I then re-filled the bottle with aloe vera and put the two parts back together again and voila… I had a soothing facial roller!
“It was so simple to make and I’ve used it every day since.”

Jake-Jamie has also shared other sustainability ideas, including turning a chocolate box into a vanity tray.
The video has over 39,300 likes from impressed viewers.
In the clip, you can see the creator take an empty Ferrero Rocher box and line both trays with marble self-adhesive paper.
Next, he takes some rose gold self-adhesive paper and places it in the bottom of both trays.
He then applies rubber door bumpers to the bottom tray to give it some height.
To attach the trays, Jake-Jamie wraps four wooden sticks with rose gold-tiled paper and superglues them to the corners.
Jake-Jamie added: “I’m always looking for ways to re-use things to save money and the planet!
“Upcycling is also a lot of fun, it allows me to channel my inner creativity and I love thinking up new ways to turn my trash into treasure!”
