An unidentified object has been found leaving people stumped – but all is not as it seems.
The bizarre sighting was spotted by dog walker, Celine Gimenez, who took to Facebook to share her confusion.
In the post, which has racked up hundreds of likes, she attaches three pictures of the out-of-this-world object that shows a capsule marked “USSR” with hazard tape around it.

She wrote: “Morning all! Sorry if wrong page but just back from my dog walk, north of the island and saw this.
“What is it? Looks like it’s just appeared there.
“The red thing looks like a parachute.
“Anyone knows/heard any noise? Near the radar tower, Les Platons.
“What the…is this???” [sic]
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many offering hilarious suggestions.
“Tin foil hats at the ready,” Peter commented.

Harvey said: “Someone is having a laugh, parachute is too small to be effective.”
Lyndy added: “ET has come home.”
“It’s a new dog waste bin made big so that you know where to put your dog poo,” David said.
Patrick added: “It’s about £3000 per month with a sea view.”
While people speculated the possible options, it’s been revealed that the ‘UFO’ object is part of an art installation by Rachel Ara.

The exhibition, called “Dissent Module,” is currently in the location for two days, before moving to outside St. Helier Church, Jersey, as part of a wider project titled “No Place Like Home.”
It’s made from recycled commercial airplane parts, aluminum sheet and kitchen metalware, including a muffin pan.
