A woman who didn’t know she was pregnant has given birth to a baby girl after going into hospital with a stomach ache.
The 33-year-old mum, whose name was not reported, was taken to her local emergency room with severe abdominal pains.
Doctors at the IPS Hospital in Capiatá, Paraguay, carried out tests and realised the woman had gone into labour.
Despite having given birth twice before, the mum told them she was completely unaware that she was pregnant for a third time.

Hospital director Dr. Alba Ramos said the patient, who originally comes from the Paraguayan city of Itauguá, was admitted at around 6 a.m. on 16 October.
After fainting, she was taken to the observation room where she was asked if she was pregnant – to which she reportedly said “no”.
When she started bleeding heavily, the patient was treated by a gynaecologist who realised she was in labour and fully dilated.
There wasn’t time to take the mother to the city’s Maternity Hospital so doctors delivered the baby at the IPS Hospital with a highly-trained emergency team to intervene in such situations.

The young woman gave birth naturally to a baby girl weighing 3kg (6.6 lbs).
Once in recovery, the pair were taken to the Maternity Hospital by ambulance.
The mum-of-three and her latest addition to the family are both doing well.
The doctors who took part in the unusual birth have been named as gynaecologist Dr Emigdio González, neonatologists Dr Ana Saracho and Dr Darcy Dick, and staff members Fátima Patiño, Toribia Aguilar, Raquel Lezcano and Oscar Machuca.
