An influencer has crashed her brand-new car just hours after leaving the showroom.
Julieth Guzmán recently uploaded a clip showing her buying her luxurious vehicle on Facebook for her 241,000 followers.
In the video, a man can be seen accompanying the content creator to the showroom before they sign the paperwork and unveil the shiny Volkswagen Jetta.
The clip went viral with 237,000 views and hundreds of comments.
The influencer wrote: “I promised you my babies! My first dream has come true.
“I’d like to say thank you to God first and then to all of you for the unconditional support you have given me.
“I promise to continue with the same humility that I’m known for, I am not going to let you down.”
However, just hours later, the same Volkswagen Jetta was reportedly involved in an accident with a motorcyclist.
The crash took place in Rionegro, Antioquia Department, Colombia, at around 9.30pm on 22 October.
Guzmán shared images of her damaged car on social media.
The photos show considerable damage to the vehicle’s front bumper and wing.
According to local reports, the influencer was not in the car at the time of the crash.
She said “Dreams don’t lend themselves”, possibly making reference to her loaning a new car to someone else.
The motorcyclist is believed to have been injured in the accident and is hospitalised but in stable condition.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
