A pair of influencers in their 60s who believe that “fun doesn’t have an age limit” reveal that they’re often told to “grow up”.

Ginger and Carman, not their real names, are popular online with their 356,000 followers on TikTok for their youthful outlook on life.

One of their most viral clips has racked up 4.1 million views and over 813,000 likes, and now, the duo are revealing the secrets to staying young.

And the pair claim they’re often told to “grow up”.

“Being told to grow up is the biggest compliment you can get,” Ginger told http://NeedToKnow.co.uk .

“We prefer to think of it as staying ‘energised’ rather than ‘youthful’ and keeping your finger on the pulse in areas that are important to you is vital.

“Staying open and speaking to young people is key – but a good drop of self care can help keep the inner spirit alive.

“Most importantly, find the vibe.

“Call up your most adventurous girlfriend and dip your toe into something new.

“It can be something as simple as changing up your lipstick or walking out the door and turning left instead of right.

“Essentially, look at reconnecting to your more playful self and tune into the person you were before you had to become someone.”

In the clip, Ginger and Carman show a slideshow of their most colourful outfits and wild adventures.

Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many people calling them “goals” for their future selves.

Another viewer added: “Gosh you two are goals.”

“What a vibe,” someone else commented.

One person said: “If this isn’t us in the future I’ll cry,” while tagging their friend.

The duo, from Melbourne, Australia, met in 2015 after their daughters, aged 17, became friends while at school.

Soon, the two mums discovered their similarities – admitting that they were both “terrible show offs” on the playground.

Carman said: “We had the same philosophy on life to always stay open, always look for the energy or create it and own your inimitable style.

“Over the years, we’ve quickly realised that our passions have developed together, and so has our confidence within them, and expressing ourselves is non-negotiable.

“Expression doesn’t leave as you age, in fact, it’s the opposite.

“As you get older, you get to be more of who you really are and who you really want to be.”

While they love relaxing and watching television, Ginger and Carman are also fans of going out clubbing into the night, as well as experimenting with daring clothing.

Ginger added: “Trends are a no go, so we go with whatever we’re drawn to.

“Mood is everything, because then you’re able to walk out the door feeling as authentic as possible.

“Don’t try too hard, as clothing has the ability to empower the vibe within – so always trust your gut.

“As a duo, we have to be aligned into a certain genre, which may take a bit of back and forth.

“We love going on unplanned adventures together and having lots of fun.

“It’s a way for us to ‘get lost’ amongst all the responsibilities we both have.

“I never thought we’d get this popular, and we’ve been called queens, which we have never been called by our kids.

“And age has never come up in any conversations.

“It’s crazy how the world has progressed – but so have we – we’re rebels redefining the rule book around age.”
