A Co-op store has put health drinks costing just £1.45 in security boxes to thwart thefts.
The 100ml Ginger and Turmeric own brand shots are in the plastic boxes.
The same size mini plastic bottles of Gut Health drinks are also in them.
It comes amid the cost-of-living crisis across the country.

They were spotted at Co-op, on Swakeleys Road in Ickenham, Uxbridge yesterday (27 Feb).

The boxes are tagged and will need to be removed by members of staff at the checkouts before customers can purchase the drinks.
One shocked shopper said: “It’s outrageous.
“Why put them on such low value products?
“Surely no one will pinch a healthy drink worth less than £1.50.”
This is just the latest instalment in the current trend of odd items being placed in security boxes in supermarkets up and down the country.
It was reported that a record £1.8 billion worth of goods were stolen last year from shops.
The British Retail Consortium has described this as a crisis.
Within the store other items were spotted in tagged security boxes.

This included £5 pork loin steaks, a £5.65 box of diced beef and a set of £5.85 lamb chops.
With both sirloin and ribeye steaks boxed and tagged as well.
Co-op has been approached for comment.
