A woman has left social media users in shock claiming that a random person washed her hair while she was at a salon.
When Kirsten Lorenzen stepped into her usual hair salon and noticed her stylist was running a bit behind, she expected to wait for a few minutes until they were done.
Instead, the 36-year-old says a woman walked over and directed her to the shampoo station, and started to scrub her hair.

But Kirsten was horrified when her usual stylist intervened – and said the woman was not an employee.
She shared the ordeal on TikTok, where the clip went viral and garnered three million views.
In the post, she calls it the “weirdest experience of my entire life”.
“When the girl came up to me and said she’d get started on my shampoo, I didn’t think anything of it,” Kirsten, a marketing specialist from Texas, US, told Need To Know.
“She didn’t put a towel or cape on me which, looking back, I suppose is a little odd.
“I thought maybe she was new to the job or something.
“Then I noticed the stylists looking over at us and sort of whispering, [before] they grabbed the salon manager.
“The weirdness of it all didn’t really sink in until an actual employee started re-washing my hair.
“I contemplated leaving, but I really needed a haircut and I still had shampoo in my hair.”
In the TikTok, she details the ordeal, explaining that the manager looked over and asked the girl what she was doing mid-hair wash.
Allegedly, the woman said ‘sorry’ before running out of the salon.
Kirsten said of the experience: “I definitely felt very uneasy for the rest of the day.
“Although she seemed harmless, it still made me feel so weird that a random person had done something like that.
“She wasn’t acting super strange, but you never know what is going on in someone else’s head.
“The other stylists initially wondered if it was a new employee that they didn’t recognise, as it’s a pretty big salon.
“But I have no idea who the girl was, [nor] does the salon.”
The post garnered 371,000 likes on TikTok and users flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many people left shocked.
“Shampoozled,” Alex said, followed by a laughing emoji.
Des said: “Maybe she had an appt after u and wanted to speed up the process.”
“I would be traumatized,” another user added.
Mariah commented: “Intrusive thoughts won.”
“Girl was TIRED waiting she started doing the work,” someone else said.
The experience has left Kirsten feeling shaken.
She said: “The salon was very apologetic, even though I really don’t see this as being their fault.
“They ended up getting an actual employee to wash my hair, then my stylist did the haircut.
“I’m definitely weirded out by the whole thing and moving forward, I will be a little more cautious about getting shampooed before seeing my stylist.
“I might ask to see some ID beforehand.”
