A Brit tourist has been arrested for an alleged attack on a tuk-tuk driver.
Luke Alexander Graham was detained after video circulated of a row over a fare.
It showed a man with a northern accent tussling with the driver.
With his hands around the man’s neck, he repeats furiously: “Give me my f*cking money.”
He demands that the local man, named in reports as Abdulloh, show him the banknote he has just given him.
He then gives him a hard clip round the ear before uttering: “You’re a fcking prck.”
The man looks menacingly at the driver through the open window as he clasps what looks like an empty beer bottle.
Before walking off in a huff, he appears to say: “You’re lucky you’ve got a little slap, you little fcking fnny.
Local media said Abdulloh had taken the Brit to his hotel on Phuket Island on Friday (26 Apr).
The violence unfolded after Abdulloh charged 400 THB (£8.60) for the ride and Graham gave him a banknote.
The Brit demanded change, saying “I know on my mum’s life” he had handed over a 1,000 THB bill (£21.50).
But Abdulloh was adamant it was a 100 THB (£2.15) note and suggested they resolve the issue at the local police station.
The tuk-tuk driver and his dad later reported the assault to the police, as reported on Need to Know.
When officers went to apprehend suspect Graham, 31, they discovered that he had fled Phuket Island to Ko Phi Phi Don Island.
He was arrested as he made his way back to his new accommodation after dinner yesterday (30 Apr) evening.
He was booked at the local police station before being transferred to Karon Police Station on Phuket Island.
He reportedly faces charges of causing bodily harm and endangering the mental and physical well-being of another person.
